If you are a car guy or gal, you have more than likely seen the coverage SPEED TV does of the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale in January. Barrett-Jackson is certainly a superlative concerning collector vehicle auctions, but in all fairness to my friends Craig and Nellie Jackson, there are a few other cool auctions in Scottsdale the same week. Rob Myers and crew (RMAuctions) put on a great auction at the Phoenix Biltmore. Drew and Josephine Alcazar are also big buddies with their Russo and Steele Auction. David Gooding does an excellent job with his Gooding and Company Auction too. I had the opportunity to make the rounds but was successful in resisting the temptation to buy something this year. I did like the 58 Packard Hawk super charged car at the RM auction though. It was probably one of the nicest Packard Hawks I had ever seen. (more…)

If you habit events pertaining to vintage motorcycles you might have been lucky enough to experience the historical vision of the original Super Six Hudson “truck” of Elbert R Hall, famous purveyor of all things motorcycle. Elbert’s son and current guardian of the Hudson “truck” has a blast entertainin hisself and crowds at the event he takes “Elbert…the truck” to. (more…)

One of the most important places to be when mid August rolls around is the Monterey Bay area of California. Our company has been actively participating in the events around Pebble Beach some time, especially the adrenaline filled action at Laguna Seca. The Steve Earle family and their company, General Racing Ltd with the help of their friends at SCRAMP (racing group acronym) have done a wonderful job at producing the Monterey Historics for some long time. This year the Monterey Historics celebrated Indy Roadsters. There were so many Offy powered 4 wheeled powerhouses it was actually difficult to count them all. (more…)

What happens in Vegas…..stays in Vegas….NOT!

You probably have seen the slick TV commercial by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau. I think of a different spin on that TV ad. I think what happens in Vegas the week of the SEMA Show, doesn’t stay but immediately blasts throughout the world! Here’s why:
